Synopsis: The horrific death of Diana, Princess of Wales, stunned the world... Jon King, working in the field of UFO's and other mysterious events, was approached by a known informant, with links to the CIA, and told that an assassination was about to take place of a leading World figure. He was told that it would be made to look like an accident.

However, without a name or details, and with his questionable credibility Jon was forced to sit and wait for news. He suspected the whole thing was a hoax. Then a week later, on 31st August, 1997, Princess Diana was killed in a car crash along with her lover Dodi Al Fayed. Jon's world changed for ever.

Convinced this was the assassination he had been warned about he embarked upon a crusade to prove Diana had been murdered by rogue CIA and MI6 agents. He discovered that the Mercedes the Princess died in had been stolen weeks before and, some days after, found abandoned on a Paris Street. He researched a method of assassination known as 'The Boston Brakes', which had been used by the Security Services as far back as 1987. Richard Tomlinson, a former British spy, seemed to back Jon's findings when he revealed a similar plot to assassinate President Milosevic. Questions were beginning to be asked and not just by Jon. Was it incompetence, bad luck or something more sinister that led to the 'Accident'? People were starting to question the time it took for the emergency services to respond. The delay in getting the Princess to hospital. Henri Paul's sobriety and his blood test results. The mystery of the, white, Fiat Uno. The strange suicide of paparazzo, James Adanson. The engagement. The timing.

But for Jon it was more than that and now he suspected that his own life was under threat. If not his life then, certainly, his marriage and career. Stranger theories were presented to him and Jon slowly began to realise that he was being used in a disinformation campaign. It seemed the harder he tried to prove his points the more he was singled out for ridicule. His sanity began to suffer – Finally at a lecture, after publication of his book, his informant re-appears and warns him enough is enough, the time had come to back off – Jon couldn't.
